October
- Pumpkinfest — downtown Franklin's signature fall festival: costumes, vendors, and all sixteen blocks at their most photogenic. The local move: arrive early, park once, stay all day.
- Pumpkin patches & corn mazes — the farms around Franklin and greater Williamson County run patches most of the month; weekday afternoons beat weekend crowds by a mile.
November & December
- A Dickens of a Christmas — Franklin's Victorian-era holiday festival takes over downtown in December; costumed characters, carolers, and the most crowded-but-worth-it weekend of the season.
- Tree lighting & holiday kickoff — the town tree lighting marks the start of the season downtown.

- Parking: the garages fill by mid-morning on festival days. Park a few blocks out and walk — Franklin's a walking town.
- Eat off-peak: Main Street restaurants are slammed on festival days. Eat early, eat late, or know your backups.
- Strollers: festival crowds + brick sidewalks = bring the carrier for littles if you can.
