What we check before we recommend
Every family pick on this site gets the same test: would we take our own kids back a second time? That means we care about the parts listings never mention — whether there’s shade, whether the parking is a half-mile hike with a toddler, whether “all ages” means all ages or means teenagers, and what it actually costs once you’re inside.
This category is built to grow. The kids guide covers the everyday rotation — parks, play spaces, and rainy-day saves — and the seasonal stuff lives in the events guides so it stays current. If your family has a spot that deserves attention, or you found one of our picks slipping, we want to hear it. The whole point of a local guide is that it stays true.
